In 1954, the sun protection division was installed as a separate division of the window manufacturer Josef Wick & Söhne GmbH & Co. KG, Wick, founded in 1901. Highly automated production at the Vorchdorf plant produces interior and exterior blinds, mini-roller shutters, awnings, external blinds and all-metal gates.

In 1992 the specialist brand KOSMOS SUN PROTECTION was created. WICK-KOSMOS subsequently developed into one of the most important sun protection manufacturers in Austria with the most extensive product range on the market.
