Winfried Schuh is committed in Austria for more than 20 years as a consulting architect for sustainable building and modernisation.
On the basis of his training as a property developer and certifier he supports architects and planners with his office in the department of optimization.
As climate-active partner, he is co-founder of ÖGNB and ÖGNI which stand for sustainability in the construction- and real estate industry for many years now.
Further fields of activity in addition to research and teaching activities are projects for community building, living and working.

Founding Hausverstand.Com
With his expierence as a planner for developer-projects - from a renovation with attic conversion to a multi-storey residential building - Winfried Schuh founded Hausverstand.Com as a competence network for sustainable building and modernisation.
Since then a growing team of experienced experts covers almost all relevant areas of the construction and real estate industry with competent advice and target-oriented solutions.
Hausverstand.Com, since back then until today, stands for quality- and cost-security assurance.

Office for building physics
Since 2008, several hundred thermal energy reviews were created in our office for building physics in Vienna alone - including many Gründerzeit buildings and several historical Palace.

Opening OpenLab
The OpenLab on the Siebensternplatz in Vienna opens its gates!
At the offical OpenLab kickoff, scientists and renowned experts discussed the requirements of sustainable architecture for climate protection and the value of real estate.
The listed rooms with more than 200 square meters offer extensive possibilities for information events, exhibitions and roundtables on a large and small scale.
2013
Discussions in the public
For the ten-year anniversary, Hausverstand.Com brings the OpenLab with discussions on urban planning and architecture topics with the participation of the press on the road.
At Siebensternplatz in Vienna representatives of the industry met with planners and the general public. In three panels there was information and discussion: on the difficulty of the renovation of Wilhelminian style houses, the chances of community construction and housing and the use of natural building and insulating materials.
2015
Seminars for planners
For the first time, seminars and exhibitions for planners in close collaboration with ministries, magistrates, colleges and associations were on the programme.
Among other things, seminars and workshops on building-greenery and accessibility - also in public space - took place.
The expert panel on daylight and health was the prelude to the establishment of the window center in Vienna (Fenster Zentrum Wien).

FORUM AND WORKSHOPS FOR EXPERTS
Our workshop on 29 September on planning and incidents in windows was the beginning of a series on quality assurance in construction.
We demand and promote the exchange between experts and responsible persons!
In addition to Roundtables, 2019 will also include seminar and workshop series with experts and associations from the construction and real estate sector.
